If Vogue is the fashion bible, then we’ve finally got our own verse, if not a chapter. The Windy City is Vogue Daily’s Destination of the Month, and boy, did they get the month right, but we’d argue it’s hard to beat Chicago in August (sweltering heat notwithstanding). The list highlights Lollapalooza, Frank Lloyd Wright, and our culinary prowess. There’s even a little shout-out to one of our favorite neighborhoods, Logan Square. Richard Alleman, the column’s author, even goes so far as to call the coast “sultry.” Oh, Richard, you do flatter us. Alleman’s photos are wonderful, making Chicago look just as fast-paced as the text makes it sound. If we didn't already live here, we'd want to. (Vogue Daily)
