We were planning to save the bingo circuit for our golden years, but Grandma's favorite pastime is getting a decidedly cool makeover right now. Don't believe us? See for yourself this Thursday night, when the folks over at Brightest Young Things take over the Howard Theatre to host a party featuring the underground music-loving group of hardcore bingo players known as The Underground Rebel Bingo Club.
This club is everything it sounds like: The self-proclaimed international secret organization started off throwing parties in a London church hall, and turned drunken basement bingo sessions into an exclusive worldwide tour — complete with raging music, wild outfits, and plenty of flashing neon lights. BYT's shindig promises to be an overwhelming sensory experience including performances by LCD Soundsystem's Nancy Whang, Bit Funk, and Gavin Holland, plus a balloon artist, burlesque performers, a contortionist...yeah, you get the drill.
