The Stars Are Out At Irene Neuwirth’s Pop-Up Shop—Literally

Harry Potter, eat your heart out—Irene Neuwirth's pop-up shop is like something out of our magical, fantasy-loving dreams. Although it's just short of giving us actual magic powers, the undulating metallic shapes that rise and fall throughout the space with thousands of stars cut out of them, illuminating the walls and ceiling, are more than enough to whisk us away to another realm, if only in our minds. Designed by Marc Fornes of THEVERYMANY as a part of the BOFFO Building Fashion series, the pop-up shop is as much of an art installation as it a jewelry showcase—but Neuwirth's baubles were hardly outdone. Colorful earrings, necklaces, and bracelets hang from slender branches inside small glass domes, giving them a terrarium-like effect. The only thing that could have made it better was a real life unicorn, but, alas, maybe next time. The shop is only open until October 12, so make sure you check out this wonderland before it's gone. Click through the slideshow for a little incitement—this pop up shop has to be seen to be believed.
