The Standard Hotel Will Make You Cultured
comments

Is it possible for the Standard Hotels to get any cooler? In a word, yes. Today the Andre Balazs chain launched a new culture site today simply called The Standard Culture, which chronicles the going-ons at their properties in NYC, LA, and Miami. Some of the rad features include the Standard video booth, which lets guests answer lighthearted Proustian style questionnaires (woohoo!), original content that includes videos, event coverage, music reviews, interviews and some fun daily musings—think "Secret Travel Items," or "Graphic of the Day." Plus, there's an events calendar with all the coolest happs at the hotel (bingo in NYC, yoga in Miami), and an image gallery with editorial photos snapped around the venues. Not done yet...the sit has got the Standard's e-commerce site on tap too, shoutouts from Stan D'arde, the funny, anonymous voice of the chainlet, and guides to the three fashion-forward cities. Exhausted? Well, we think it's a better way to get sleepy than turning on the tube. Who knew a hotel could make you smarter?
