When you think about Thanksgiving weekend traditions, a few thoughts probably come to mind: eating, shopping, and football. One of our favorite things to add to your list? The Music Box Theatre's annual showing of The Sound of Music. Seriously — it's about time you became familiar with the tunes "Edelweiss" and "Do-Re-Me," because this viewing party encourages you to sing along. Don't worry, this isn't a contest.
Before you settle in with your popcorn and candy (calories don't count on days like this), you'll score a bag-o'-props filled with everything from edelweiss (Salzburg festival, anyone?) to party poppers to use when Captain von Trapp finally plants a wet one on governess Maria.
