Sex Trash: Lady Gaga’s Lingerie Designer Launches Her Own (Dirty) Store

While we might not want to swap stilettos with Mother Monster, the girl undoubtedly has her (very public) underwear game perfected. Now we can snatch some of her paparazzi-worthy lingerie for ourselves at a brand new e-store from the lady behind our favorite bits, like the "Born This Way" chain undies or a handful of Gaga's studded bustiers. NYC Sex Trash, helmed by local gal Stephanie Paterek, is meant to sound a little filthy/gorgeous: Paterek fuses '50s pin-up culture and Bettie Page-style undergarments with a healthy dose of '70s Astor Place rock-and-roll.
In fact, Paterek got her start thanks to Patricia Field, the doyenne of NYC rocker style, when her first collection launched (quite literally) at a yacht party held at sea by Fields. With her line quickly picked up by Trash & Vaudeville, Field, and Kat Von D's LA-based Wonderland Gallery, rocker gals like Bebe Rexha of Pete Wentz's Black Cards or the shock rocking ex-Gossip Girl Taylor Momsen quickly snatched up her under-as-outer garments. (Her rocker cred is further verified by BF Benny Horowitz of Gaslight Anthem.)
For her bras, bustiers and garter belts, Paterek sources from dead-stock, vintage stores and collectors, and then reconstructs each piece with dyeing, embellishments and loads of studs. The result are undergarments meant to be seen, with tons of edge and sex appeal. Each requires some lady cajones to wear, but items like the Miss Nothing Garter Set are so badass we might consider letting our underoos peek out, even if just for that special someone.
