Ticket Alert: Grab Your Passes For The S.F. Fashion Film Fest

Barbarella 1
April is just around the corner and you know what that means...it's officially film-fest season in San Francisco. One of the newest (and, in our opinion, most exciting) additions to the list of must-hit movie-centric events is that of the first-ever San Francisco Fashion Film Festival.
Founded by a trio of local bloggers — Poetic and Chic's Annie Wilson, Fashionista Lab's Adelle McElveen, and J'Adore Couture's Kim Mitchell Stokes — the SFFFF successfully raised $6,000 on Kickerstarter to bring local fashion lovers this two-day event, packed full of stylish flicks.

"I hosted some cafe screenings a few years ago under StyleCinemaSF and Kim and I had discussed reviving the series in a new location at the same time that Adelle mentioned doing a full-scale film festival," explains Wilson of the SFFFF's beginnings. "Overall, we wanted to expand and challenge what people commonly think of as a 'fashion film,' and to surface lesser-known films that have set trends or inspired fashion designers."

The main event will go down April 7 and 8 at the iconic Roxie Theater, with eight feature-length films, eight documentaries, and 14 international fashion shorts. Some of the highlights include the oldie-but-goodie Barbarella and footwear-obsession doc,
God Save My Shoes
.
