First Look: Réveille Coffee Co.’s Slick Brick & Mortar Locale

If you've been reading Refinery29 S.F. for a while now, you know that we're extra-fond of two things: Coffee! And, related to that, the brother duo behind Jackson Square's sleekest java truck, Réveille Coffee Co. Of course, this is why we're super hyped to bring you the first look at Tommy and Chris Newbury's shiny-new brick and mortar location, nestled on the angular corner of Pacific and Columbus, at the mouth of North Beach.
Surprisingly enough, there isn't a lick of reclaimed wood in sight (an obvious rarity in Bay Area coffee shops). And that, of course, was on purpose. "We appreciate simple and modern design, and our truck was a huge influence on the direction we wanted to design our new space," explains Tommy. "We maintained the same aesthetic using light woods and clean lines throughout space."
As for going from a business on two wheels to a full-on shop that'll serve up breakfast, lunch, and cups of joe, he explains: "With the truck, our vision was limited in the experience we could offer. This allows us to expand our idea of building a gathering place where the community can enjoy good coffee and food."
While the anticipated opening date is the first week of November, we've got a sneak peek at the spot, right here. Click on through and learn some other juicy tidbits about the sure-to-be-hot venue.
