This Daring New Eyebrow Trend Is Super Hot

Beauty trends come and go. But, during the past couple of years, there have been two constants: bold-hued hair and equally bold eyebrows. Well, why not bring them together? After all, Boy George rocked a killer set of colored brows in the '80s! That's why I decided to bring them back here — on model Hannah Vandermolen — but in a slightly more understated way.
Dying your brows rocks because, for one thing, it washes away — so you can easily go right back to your natural shade with just a little remover. Also, contrasting your brows to your hair is a cool way to add color without committing to a full-on dye job. Not to mention, it draws attention to your eyes. Case in point: Hannah has gorgeous green eyes, which is why I wanted to give her red arches. You can also try emerald, gold, amethyst, or even deep-indigo blue.

For this look, I applied Make Up For Ever Flash Color with an angled, synthetic brush: This allows for maximum color payoff. Make sure to choose a high-performance product, like Make Up For Ever's, because it won't budge and has strong pigment. It should be noticeable that you put makeup on your brows, or else you run the risk of looking like you accidentally reached for the wrong powder that morning. For added drama, I drew a little bit outside her brows, and then brushed through with an eyebrow spoolie to comb her hairs, pushing them upward and tapering them at the outer ends.
With the rest, the key is to keep it simple. The eye makeup should be clean, with just a little bit of mascara. I opted for a pinky-nude on the center of the lips for a gentle stain. I also left the skin natural and sheer, so it didn't look powdered or overdone.
You always have our blessing to have fun and experiment with makeup. Now, you try, and let us know how it goes.
