If you've seen a dapper dude drifting around some of the hippest events around the city with a camera, chances are it's Shaun Mader. A photographer for society shutterbug Patrick McMullan, Shaun has hit up his fair share of parties, snapping up the fashion-flock while charming the jeune filles. And, if you think Mader's work is just consigned to point-and-clicks at parties (though he does do that quite well), you'd be surprised just how extensive a body of work the New York-based photog has compiled—and it's not related to event photography. Using NYC itself as his subject, Shaun takes a break from step-and-repeats and turns a gimlet eye on the neglected corners of the Big Apple. So, next time you run into this man-about-town, ask to see his latest works. We're pretty sure whatever you buy will appreciate.
