Party On! Six Scents Launch at the New Museum

We had a moment of panic when we saw the line extending down the block outside the New Museum last night for the launch party of Six Scents. We quickly realized it was a line for one of the last-remaining flop houses on the Bowery and not connected to the very different line outside the museum. Oh how the Bowery has changed! But we
digress… Inside in of the very un-floppy galleries, a serious fashion set celebrated the launch of fragrances curated by Seven New York's Joseph Quartana and designed by Preen, Jeremy Scott, Alexandre
Herchcovitch
, Bernhard Willhelm, and Gareth Pugh (a portion of proceeds goes to Designers Against AIDS). Guests bent over scent-infused dark Plexiglas columns representing each fragrance. We couldn't help but love the scents' names—"Urban
Tropicalia" for Herchcovitch, "Teen Spirit" for Preen, and "Illicit Sex" for Jeremy Scott.

Misshapes Geordon Nicol and Leigh Lezark (wearing a bizarre Herchcovitch creation) DJed and a crowd of designers—including Gareth Pugh, Victoria Bartlett, Cindy Greene, and Gabi of ThreeAsFour—swilled drinks and mingled with stylists Natasha Royt, Keeghan Singh, and Haidee Findlay-Levitt. We spoke briefly to Gabi of ThreeAsFour, who created a scent for Symrise a few years ago and was, "excited to see the project continued." By the
end of the night the ratio of photographers to guests was so high that our friend Pete Miszuk refused to take any shots. As you can see below, we kept snapping. Smell you later!
