Friends and lovers of indie boutique In God We Trust (we can't help it, we're both), journeyed to Greenpoint Avenue last night to celebrate the opening of the store's fourth outpost with owner Shana Tabor and the whole IGWT crew. Revelers headed straight for one of the two bars in either the string-lit back patio or white-walled warehouse space, where bartenders were mixing Hendricks Gin cocktails and pouring Bear Flag wine, before drifting into the shop to peruse the wares. We couldn't help but grab a few birthday gifts (M&Co. watches! The Hill-Side ties!), and nabbed a pretty great gift bag filled with treats like IGWT jewelry, discounts to Greenpoint boutiques Alter and Hayden-Harnett, and a free bang trim--a necessity for most L-trainers--from The Parlour. Though it takes a lot of trust in God to take the G-train anywhere, the party proved worth the wait on the platform, and now that we have yet another reason to do a Greenpoint shop-crawl, we'll be making the trip more often...no faith in a higher power required!
