The arrival of warm temps and sunny days has us fantasizing about trips to the Hamptons and the Outer Banks, where we can soak up some rays and indulge in fresh seafood, cold brews, and true R&R. (Oh yeah, and show off that bikini we’ve been psyching ourselves up to don since February.)
While summer vacations (and summer Fridays) may still be a month or two away, you can treat your tastebuds to some gourmet fare next weekend that'll transport you to the seaside instantly. At Poste's Oysterstock festival, you can take in performances by area musicians, locally brewed spirits, and some of the region’s best oysters, all served up in style.

A $75 ticket covers all food and drink, including chef Dennis Marron’s assortment of oysters, clams, house-made sausages, lamb dishes, and a bounty of sides. All proceeds go to the Oyster Recovery Program, a non-profit dedicated to preserving the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem. To get on the guest list, buy a ticket here.
When: Sunday, April 22, from 2 to 7 p.m.
Where: Poste Moderne Brasserie, 555 8th Street NW; 202-783-6060.
