We Never Thought This Would Happen, But The Oscars Might Be Moving

Looks like the Academy Awards might be making a neighborhood switcheroo in the near future. We're heard some talk of the star-studded show moving from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood to the Nokia Theatre in downtown L.A. for 2014. The Kodak has been the home of the epic awards show for the past ten years, and this year's February 26 extravaganza, as well as next year's production, will definitely still take place at the Hollywood and Highland location, but after that, who knows?
Some of the perks of a move to the Nokia Theatre would be a doubling in occupancy and the fact that the 7,100-seat venue already hosts the annual Emmy Awards and the American Music Awards. However, the Kodak was actually built for the Oscars and has been a huge part of the community since the first Academy Awards were held in 1929 at the Roosevelt Hotel right across street (just a little tidbit for ya).
So, we're a little torn about how we feel about any potential moves. Weigh in with your thoughts in the comments? Should they stay or should they go? (LAT)
