Oscar Style! Get Inspired By Our 3 Favorite Best-Picture Noms

When the Oscar nominees were announced yesterday, we found ourselves a tad surprised by some of the anointed films (please don't make us say it). Thankfully, most of our faves like Avatar, An Education and Inglorious Basterds made the Oscar cut, and with good reason. If you're like us, each of these movies caught your eye, not just for the remarkable filmmaking, but also because of their distinctive visuals and costumes (or lack thereof, in the case of the Na'vi). Knowing how much we love a clever shopping story, we decided to draw inspiration from this trio of Oscar contenders, if only to inject a little extra movie magic into your wardrobe this season.

Inglorious Basterds--Tarantino's latest had an all-star cast, but Diane Kruger really stole the show as Bridget Von Hammersmark, inspiring us to join the resistance with her movie-star wardrobe of nipped waists, stylish headpieces, and impeccable shoes.

Avatar—While we may not want to live in Pandora, we're definitely digging the gorgeous graphics for this blockbuster, which make us want to get dressed up in all things futuristic, metallic, and cobalt blue.

An Education—This glamorous coming-of-age movie brought out our inner ingénue with its mixture of posh styling, lush cinematography, and sharp acting (Carey Mulligan, you have our vote!).
