City Kids and Shepard Fairey —Fairey, along with more than a hundred youths from CityKids, a New York nonprofit, created A Positive Thought Cannot Be Denied, a mural that incorporates Fairey's own street-art aesthetic and iconic images to express the youths' perspectives on social-justice issues such as teen violence, the environment, and education. The mural, displayed in a series of 8-by-11-foot panels.

Mayle Pop-Up Shop Opens At Great Jones —Jane Mayle, owner of her namesake shop which shuttered its doors, is back: if only in pop-up form. Her fall '10 collection dubbed Kamikaze Full of Love, consists of printed blouses and vintage style dresses with ranges between $520 for a dress, a little less for tops, and around $800 for jackets.
