How To Rock Your Reindeer Sweater — & Still Look Classy

Thanksgiving isn’t just the start of the holiday season; it also marks the return of Zoo Lights at the Lincoln Park Zoo — one of my most favorite wintertime activities here in Chicago. The city goes all out, decking the entire place with crazy light shows and I love bundling up in festive attire, bringing along some adult hot chocolate and strolling through the park listening to Christmas tunes.

Although it is typically freezing by 7 p.m., it gives me an excuse to pull out my obnoxious holiday sweaters and bundle up with my favorite cold weather accessories. The entire night kind of feels like a scene from National Lampoons' Christmas Vacation minus Uncle Eddie.

It hasn’t snowed yet in Chicago, but because the wind chill is -50 (kidding), you will typically find me in my trusty Sorel boots anytime after 5 p.m. It plays well with my reindeer sweater and pompom beanie. If you’re going to go to the zoo with ten thousand other people, you have to make sure you stand out!
