Check Out Meeps' Unbelievable Makeover At A Can't-Miss Shopping Bash

If you're a vintage aficionado who has lived in D.C. for a reasonable amount of time, there's a good chance you've scoured the racks at Meeps a few times.
Operating in the District for 20 years, the jam-packed store carried many a darling sundress, as well as endless fodder for Halloween costumes. Last year, the insanely talented ladies behind Treasury, Cathy Chung and Katerina Herodotou, bought the store and shuttered it for a head-to-toe renovation. And now, it's time for the big reveal!
If you don't have plans this evening (or, ahem, you can manage two events in one night), you can check out the awe-inspiring revamp these ladies dreamed up — think crisp white interiors, an artsy-bohemian vibe, and the carefully edited selection of vintage duds the Treasury gals are known for. Not only are the prices totally reasonable for casual vintage, the updated shop also a new buy-sell-trade system in place so you can spend even less to get your secondhand fix. So, if you love a good before-and-after — or just want to scoop some closet candy — you'll want to make it over to Meeps, stat.
When: Tonight, August 16, from 5-9 p.m.
Where: Meeps Vintage, 2104 18th Street NW; 202-265-6546.
