A submerged sedan, sunbleached kids, a rope-tied victim, and some onlooker swans... We don't know whether this newest editorial from LOVE Magazine creeps us out in a good, bad, beautiful, or horrifying way (all of the above?). With the composition of a classical painting and the accoutrements of a Macy's ad (Converses and tighty-whities, anyone?), this Mert and Marcus-short editorial features rather disturbing hostage imagery that should make us feel more disconcerted than we do. What exactly happened? My First Orgy gone awry? A swan-prison breakout turned watery grave? Perhaps these city kids don't know how to properly enjoy a day at the lake? Whatever the reason, it's not the first instance that pre- or post-violent situations have been used to sell clothing. You tell us—is this just sensational and senseless, or is this art?
