Now that you've changed your closet over to spring (fingers crossed that the temps won't plummet again), it's time to start thinking about where you're going to take those sky-high strappy sandals and light-weight dresses for a spin. Consider this your invite to step out in style: On Wednesday, May 23, support one of the city's greatest causes at the Junior Spring Benefit for the Lincoln Center Institute — which we love attending every year, natch (c-c-check out the stylin' snaps from last spring). It helps bring dancers, musicians, actors, and visual artists from around the world to local classrooms in an effort to help children learn how to be creative and inspired, as well as deepen their ability to research and question.
And, who better to do it than the fabulous, ever philanthropic Diane von Furstenberg? Her brand is sponsoring 2012's bash, and, if you want a bonus for your donation ticket, just remember that you'll be able to get your dance on with the likes of Carey Mulligan, Zoe Kazan, and Grace Gummer — and tunage c/o R29 bestie, DJ Chelsea Leyland — all of whom are on the chic host committee (invite below). Did we mentioned the aforementioned sandals and dresses that have been dormant since last August? Really, we can't think of a better way to spend a Wednesday night. Get your tickets here before they're all sold out (really, these babies go fast and furious) — and come give us an air kiss...you know we'll be there. Oh, and, wait 'til you see our outfit.
