Your Next Jewelry Purchase Could Make You Look AND Feel Amazing

Cool jewelry is not exactly hard to come by these days with the crazy amount of talented (and innovative) jewelers in our midst. But, every once in a while one brand stands out for something other than looks. And we can't help but be a little pleased with ourselves for the two-in-one find.
For example, not only does L.A.-based jewelry company Kora feature stunning and cool accessories, they also produce them in a way that is both different and responsible. All KORA (which means "work" in Kinyarwanda) pieces are made by artists in developing communities in Africa using locally found recycled materials. The designers use their "trade not aid" philosophy to benefit local communities long-term, rather than making a one-time donation.
But in addition to being responsible human beings, the team behind Kora also produces some great designs that would be on our wish lists regardless of their story (although, obvi, it's a plus). Geometric shapes with triangle bib-necklaces, thick hammered cuffs, and diamond-shaped rings (not that kind) dominate the lookbook and our imaginary (yet inevitable) fall wardrobe starring model Mamie Gummer. The materials also provide a wonderful contrast of elements, including delicate glass and natural horn, for a truly unique mix. Kora pairs bold and subdued elements to create a collection that speaks to a woman's different sides, moods, and of course, styles.
