This Is Our Jam: Kisses “Huddle”

kisses-huddle
How much nostalgia can you cram into one smooth piece of synth-pop? L.A.-based duo Kisses (who you may remember from our feature on songwriter Zinzi Edmundson) is going to find out or die trying. On "Huddle," the band includes makeout sessions in the stacks, heart attack-inducing jitters, and clandestine meet-ups, all infused with a glossy, '80s-inflected pop sheen. With guitar reminiscent of the The xx and a chorus that asks us to "Meet me in the middle, girl," the track should have you getting all gushy in no time. If you find yourself absently stalking ex-lovers on Facebook, "Huddle" could be the reason.
