Hunx And His Punx, Natural Child, Churchill’s Pub, April 13, $8

Foursome “girl” band Hunx And His Punx rock a ‘50s grunge pop vibe led by flamboyant lead vocalist Seth Bogart (aka Hunx) that will have you swinging around like you’re stuck in a slow-mo ‘80s music video. Nashville band Natural Child opens the set with some much-needed testosterone as the three-member young, male punk band shouts and sings about all things American bad boy.

Friday, April 13, 9:00 p.m., Churchills, 5501 NE 2nd Avenue. 305-757-1807

Flosstradamus, Mansion, April 13

Chicago DJ duo Flosstradamus has been known to pal around with Kid Sister and Chairlift, stamping the dance floor with their infectious, boogie-worthy tunes. The dudes — who won us over when they did a dance about peanut butter on Yo Gabba Gabba — are remix kings, so bring your comfy shoes (but not too comfy, it is Mansion). You won't sit down all night.

Friday, April 13, 11 p.m., Mansion, 1235 Washington Avenue, 305-695-8411

Navegante, Bardot, April 14
Brooklyn-based band Navegante uses the best parts of hip-hop, funk, and electro and mixes them together in the most entertaining way. Prepare for a fresh sound and some serious jam time, although we wouldn’t expect anything less at Bardot. Tickets aren’t available pre-sale, so try your luck at the door.

Saturday, April 14, 1:00 p.m., Bardot, 3456 North Miami Avenue, 305-576-5570

Up for more? Here are some bonus shows:
Van Halen plays a sold-out show at Bank Atlantic Center. April 10.
The Green Parrot Ukulele Association Miami chapter meeting happens at Sweat Records. April 12.
Deaf Poets plays Bardot. April 13.
