Pomegranate seeds are the tiny, sweet diamonds of the fruit world. Actually, getting them out of their shells is a lot like mining. If it weren't so difficult, we'd probably eat these beauties for days on end. But, guess what? Extracting those little, red gems can actually be easy, provided you use the right technique. Watch the video above for the easiest way to knock 'em out. Hint: You won't have to go digging.
Step 1: Cut a pomegranate in half crosswise.
Step 2: Turn half of it, seed-side down, onto your palm — over a large bowl.
Step 3: Hit the back with a wooden spoon to release the seeds.
Step 4: Repeat with the other side.
