Helmut Lang’s Pre-Fall ’11 Will Outfit The Next Best-Dressed It-Girl

Helmut Lang's clothing has always been the quintessential minimalist brand, with its sharp cuts and shapes that can be switched up for a business meeting downton or a sweaty Florence + the Machine concert. The New York brands' latest spring 2011 collection is no exception, and is reminiscent of the It-Girl that dresses for herself. Throughout the collection, designer couple Michael and Nicole Colovos incorporate rich earth tones like olive green, black, and smoking gray into draped skirts, fitted wool trousers, and calf-leather separates. The gorgeous oxide pattern used in some of the dresses extends the earthy prints we've spotted of late, with a marbled rust pattern that's utterly mesmerizing.
