As easy as short hair may be in the styling department, when it comes to the growing-out process, pixies are no picnic. The days and weeks seem to move at a snail's pace as each strand takes its sweet time to sprout. The whole ordeal is a test of both our patience and creativity — it takes some seriously stealthy styling moves to make our tresses-in-transition look both polished and purposeful.
Since a time machine is out of the question, we turned to superstylist Michael Dueñas to tackle the hair situation at hand. And, as usual, he didn't disappoint. Jem, our PM/producer, emerged with a pumped-up pixie that looked anything but awkward. See for yourself, above.
