Flower Boys: Spring Menswear Is Coming Up Roses

menswear-florals-trend
A few weeks ago, when we saw intrepid style blogger Susie Bubble discussing these trippy petal leggings, our minds got to whirling about florals for men. The recent epidemic of Liberty prints in womenswear has run its course from the runways of designers like Cacharel and Marc Jacobs, down to the retail shelves of Topshop, Gap and even Nike. But with their scent still lingering in the air, even menswear lines are catching the fever. Whether it's that full-on floral jacket-and-short look from Obedient Sons' spring '09 runway or these rose-y oxfords from (sadly, now shuttered) line Number (N)ine, there's a definite spring air in the old menswear market. But is this a look that'll take to the streets, and if so, how will it be worn? Little bursts of blooms or an all-over garden on your chest? Guys, will you be trying this one out come April?
