In the beauty world, fall is notorious for vampy lip colors, bold brows, and matte skin. To be honest, we’re not quite sure what it is about autumn that makes everyone want to ditch dewy bases for velvety, shine-free finishes. Perhaps, it’s the crisp air — or maybe, it’s the itch to add more eyeliner to our routines.
But, there are days when we can’t help but daydream about the subtly shiny skin we rocked all summer. Sure, some days it was probably more sweaty than glowy, but that’s what blotting papers are for, right? For now, we’re focused on getting our glow back — because we're not always feeling a matte mug. And, now that Daylight Savings Time is upon us, we're even more interested in figuring out how to maintain that bathed-in-light look — in memory of days when it didn't get dark at 5 p.m.
To help us achieve the luminous, lit-from-within skin we desire, we turned to dermatologist Jessica Weiser, MD, and CK One Color Global Makeup Artist Kayleen McAdams to give us the lowdown on how to get our glowiest skin ever in five simple steps. Ahead, follow their tips for a radiant complexion, and be sure to let us know which finish you prefer for fall.
