Eat, Drink, Shop: 3 Chic St. Paddy's Day Activities

Today gives everyone an excuse to day drink and bar hop all night long (some call it St.Patrick's day, we just call it Saturday). But anyway you slice it, there are ways to celebrate without rolling with the masses in overcrowded spaces, screaming about various whiskies, and singing "Come On Eileen." Instead, here are three festive yet still chic things to get into today: eat, drink, shop, and be merry!
Eat: Sure, Saint Marks might be a shitshow today, but there's a hideaway worth ducking into. Grab a "Green Tea-ramisu" and a Green Tea Macaroon for just $7 before continuing to dodge the screaming crowds.
Green tea and macaroon, $7, available at Spot Dessert Bar, 13 Saint Marks Place (between 2nd and 3rd avenues); 212-677-5670.
Drink: Of course you should celebrate St. Patrick's day the traditional way (i.e. with drinks) — it's Saturday after all! But forego the Irish car bombs for a flight of super-chic shots including the "Oyster Shooter" (fresh shucked Blue Points, Kanon Organic Vodka and house-made Clamato juice), the "Katy Perry" with Three Olives Bubble vodka and pop rocks, and the "Pirate looks at Forty" with smoke chile-infused Sailor Jerry Rum and Ginger Beer with spiced salt rim.
Shots $6 each, a la carte, available at Back Bar of The Bedford, 110 Bedford Avenue (at North 11th Street) in Williamsburg; 718-302-1002.
Shop: If you haven't got the green garb to play up the day, scoop some up real quick at Lacoste Soho where there will be waiters in green polos serving Rolling Rock to DJ beats. Plus, with a purchase of $100 or more, you'll get a free hat. Score!
Where: Lacoste, 541 Broadway (between Prince and Spring streets); 212-219-9204.
When: Today, Saturday March 17, 12 to 2 p.m.
