This Is Our Jam: CHVRCHES, Glass Candy, And Joey Bada$$

jam
This week's jams are a grab-bag of good tunes with a little something for everyone. We have dance floor anthems, a new track for producer Gold Panda, and the latest from up-and-coming Brooklyn MC Joey Bada$$. The big story, though, is an atmospheric slow-burner from electronic legends Boards of Canada. After eight years away from music, the duo has returned with a beautifully hypnotic ambient soundscape.
CHVRCHES
"Gun"
Scottish synth-pop trio CHVRCHES have been releasing some of the best, brightest, breeziest singles of the year. "Gun" is a particular highlight, with lead singer Lauren Mayberry offering a huge chorus perfect for summer nights.

Hooded Fang
"Bye Bye Land"
"Bye Bye Land" is a little piece of fuzz-pop perfection by Toronto-based band Hooded Fang. The art-rock band just released its new record Gravez yesterday, so if you like what you hear grab yourself a copy.
Gold Panda
"We Work Nights"
Another woozy, loop-tastic release from London producer Gold Panda. His upcoming new record Half Of Where You Live can't drop soon enough.
Joey Bada$$
"Word Is Bond"
Brooklyn rap wunderkind Joey Bada$$ will be releasing his new Summer Knights mixtape June 12. New single "Word Is Bond" sees Bada$$ flowing over a piano-driven beat with the old-school dexterity of an MC twice his age.
Boards of Canada
"Reach for the Dead"
The first studio track from Scottish production legends Boards of Canada in eight years is no disappointment. "Reach for the Dead" is the sort of gorgeously glitchy piece that brought the duo fame and critical adoration in the first place. It's good to have them back.
Glass Candy
"Beautiful Object"
Another new track from the Italians Do It Better's After Dark 2 compilation, this one from dream-pop act Glass Candy. It's hazy, sexy, and effortlessly cool in all the ways Glass Candy is known for.
Disclosure
"When A Fire Starts to Burn"
Disclosure's newest single is yet another huge dance track from British brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence. The duo's debut LP Settle—out next Tuesday—is shaping up to be one of the best dance records of the year.
