6 Amazing Audition Tapes, From Rachel McAdams To Emma Stone

Let's face it, life can get awkward. While things like total silence on a first date or walking in on your parents during a "private" moment are, for the most part, out of your control, we sometimes choose to put ourselves in awkward situations.
Take, for example, the auditioning process. This has got to be one of the more awkward scenarios human beings willfully put themselves in. Think about it — you stand in front of a room filled with strangers and attempt to act out a scene with total vulnerability and nearly no direction. As if that's not bad enough, you then hang around and listen to what usually feels like a laundry list of criticism, about everything from your performance to your height and weight.
And yet, all of Hollywood's best and brightest have gone through this grueling process at some point. Ahead, we've rounded up six of the best audition tapes on YouTube, all of which ended in each actor landing the part. Some showcase raw, undiscovered talent, a few will really make you laugh, and just about all of them prove just how damn uncomfortable auditioning is for anyone.
Rachel McAdams, The Notebook
