If you've ever wanted to raid your favorite local fashion blogger's closet, make sure to hightail it to District Closets, a fashion event hosted by SpicyCandyDC and Neuprofile. For anyone who can appreciate the convenience of a gift card, but still wants to add that special touch, we'd like to introduce you to Giftbar. The new-to-D.C. app offers digital gift cards for awesome local boutiques (think Britt Ryan, Wink, and Redeem) that can be personalized with photos and delivered via text, email, snail mail, or hand delivery. There's even a universal gift card that can be redeemed at any Giftbar merchant, in any Giftbar city. See ya later, gift receipts.
While we wish we could transport SoCal weather to the East Coast right about now, traveling pop-up boutique Outfitted is doing the next best thing by bringing L.A. brands to our doorsteps again. This time, you can shop wares from Penelope and Coco, Luv AJ, Collective Habit, and Kova & T, plus knitwear from local brand DeNada Design.
Saturday, November 16, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. 600 F Street NW, Suite 300; RSVP here.
For those who plan ahead, Union Market is hosting Thread, a mega pop-up on the second floor that will include men's and women's clothing and accessories, home goods, and beauty products. Vendors will be offering food and drinks, and the agenda also includes art installations and a concert by The Walkmen. Yep, this might be the year you finally get ahead of the gifting game.
