Steven Alan's Fall '13 Line Is Not So Prim And Proper

As per usual, Steven Alan's got us covered when it comes to modest, well-tailored separates for fall. Blazers, crisp collars, and wool coats all make an appearance. But take a gander at the collection and you'll pick up on an unpredictable vibe. Though subtle, these looks are a tad disheveled — at least in comparison to what we're used to seeing from the label.
From slub sweaters to unbuttoned, untucked blouses — and even the models' slightly mussed hair — this is a relaxed comfort we can totally get behind. Also noteworthy are the live-in jumpsuits and pencil skirts layered over dresses. Not only did we add at least half these pieces to our wish list, we also took down a few styling notes.
