A Rad Craigslist-Inspired DIY Project

You know the saying one man's trash is another man's treasure? Well, that's exactly the motivation behind the rad DIY projects on the adorable blog The Garden Apt. (an amazing Chicago Blogger Network suggestion), the brainchild of Lindsay Humes, a gal that's both thrifty and environmentally conscious.
Aside from tapping into our inner-Martha Stewart, DIYs are a great way to save some serious coin — especially for those high-ticketed items like furniture. With that in mind, we were majorly inspired by TGA's post on how to turn one $20 Craigslist find into two, functional (and cool!) tables. Sure, you'll have to throw in a few extra bucks — but trust, you're still going to come out ahead. With a little elbow grease and seven easy-to-follow instructions, you'll wind up with a functional two-for-one DIY project (read: no more eating dinner in bed). So, click here to get the step-by-step process (hello, weekend project!) and get ready to have a few extra friends over when all is said and done.
Be sure to check out the rest of the posts on The Garden Apt., including yummy food stories from Humes' partner-in-crime Kayleen.
