Peter Pilotto, Brand Of The Hour, Delivers A Fittingly Big-Deal Spring Show

Before a single look had even hit the runway, Peter Pilotto caught our attention with a light display revealing that the brand is collaborating with Target — and Net-A-Porter will sell the collection as well, much to every international shopper's delight. Roll on February 9, 2014.
And then the presentation began. The spring collection delivered more of the structured silhouette that we've come to expect from the label. The trapeze dresses with matching bolero jackets featured a classic '50s shape with a futuristic "Meet the Jetsons" twist. And it was a real pleasure to see what looked like broderie anglaise adding texture, as well as the return of origami folds in the bell-shaped skirts, with sheer panelling providing additional volume. The colours (always a strong point for this brand) were vivid, though a little less strident then last season, with washes of blue, green, pink, and yellow dominating a 40-strong collection. Yep, this collection is most definitely ringing our bell.
