Now, THIS Is How You Do A Summery Smoky Eye

There's no denying that a (well-done) smoky eye is sexy and timeless, but during the sweltering summer, it's basically a disaster just waiting to happen. Based on first-hand experience, all that expert blending will be deemed useless even before our morning coffee. That's why we're toning things down a bit this season.
Instead of reaching for our inky black liner and dark shadows, we're using gold, bronze, and copper hues for a lighter take on the smoky eye. Lucky for us, Laura Mercier has all you need for an easy let's-stay-out-all-night look.
Smudge a bit of bronze liner on your lash line, pat a copper shadow on your lids, swipe on brown mascara, and you're pretty much good to go! Bronze and copper shadows already have a metallic sheen built in, so there's no need to blend multiple shades for that smoky, ombré effect. Okay, maybe just a little.
