The Coolest Events To Hit Up, With Or Without Your Pops!

It seems like every year, Father's Day happens to stealthily creep up on us — sorry, Pops! But, this time around, we've got you covered with some dad-appreciation events. And, if good ol' papa bear is MIA, just take the opportunity to give yourself some retail therapy after a heavy week. Ready, set, weekend!
Baxter of California Pop-Up Shop
We're positive this event will single-handedly ditch the stigma that dudes don't like to shop. This Saturday, you can treat your old man — or your beau! — to Unionmade's "shop in shop" event. Baxter of California will be setting up its barber station in the store, so the dudes can get a snazzy snip to go with those new threads. Each purchase will come with a personalized, handcrafted calligraphy note to help you express how you feel in the coolest way possible.
When: Saturday, June 15, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Unionmade, 493 Sanchez Street (between 17th and 18th streets); 415-861-3373.
RSVP: here!
Kathryn McCarron Trunk Show
We love to be the first to know a new name on the scene, so naturally, we'd never miss this hot trunk show featuring a designer that will blow your knits off! Kathryn McCarron, a designer with a strong eye for sportswear, will be hangin' with the crew at Spoke Art, this Friday, for a style shindig to welcome her (back) to the block. The designer has showed at NYC's Bryant Park and worked for big whigs like Badgley Mischka, but it's her genius cable creations that will have you stopping by and staying all night!
When: Friday. June 14, 6 to 9 p.m.
Where: Spoke Art Gallery, 816 Sutter Street (between Jones and Leavenworth streets); 415-796-3774.
Father's Day Weekend Celebration With Marin Country Mart
When it comes to Father's Day, Marin Country Mart knows how to ring in the celebration with a three-day marathon of fun, all in the name of Dad! The festivities will begin with a swanky evening of jazz with the Piro Patton Trio to warm you up for the weekend to come. Then, Saturday will have you rising early for some of his favorite activities: A fiery-hot BBQ and some crafty time with his kids. By the time Sunday arrives, Dad will be feeling the love, so toast to everything he has done with a complimentary cocktail from Farmshop, while you indulge your senses with the flavors of Off The Grid and the sounds of the Folkish Festival (you may even get to sneak in a father-daughter dance!).
When: Friday, June 14, 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, June 15, to Sunday, June 16, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Marin Country Mart, 2257 C Larkspur Landing Circle, Larkspur (near Lincoln Village Circle); 415-461-5700.
Adina Mills & Lykke Wullf Trunk Show
It seems that every time we turn around, BellJar is rocking our calendars with yet another awesome trunk show! And, as suckers for all things shiny and new, it's almost impossible to wait until Saturday to get a peek. This event will be double trouble, featuring jewelry and clothing designers Adina Mills and Jemma Swatek. Of course, the happiest of happy hours will be well underway. Get ready to find yourself some new digit bling and a seriously cool collection of wearables, just in time for all the upcoming festival fun.
