Red Hot: CoverGirl Announces A Partnership with Catching Fire

Easy, breezy…Katniss Everdeen! Just when we thought that CoverGirl had taken a breather on its cool-girl rebrand (hello, NERVO ladies), the iconic brand announced today that it will be the official, exclusive beauty sponsor of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, set to premiere on November 22, 2013.
We were blown away by the beauty looks of the first movie (epic Katniss braid and crazy Effie makeup, we're talking to you), and we can only imagine how badass our favorite person is going to look all decked out in Catching Fire. According to Esi Eggleston Bracey, VP of Global P&G Cosmetics, CoverGirl's partnership with the film created an opportunity for the brand to continue to push its boundaries from natural-girl mainstay into a more colorful, fantastical arena. Says Bracey, "We wanted to redefine cosmetics' relationship to film with a fantasy-meets-reality beauty experience."
Katniss may not be a fan of her makeovers, but we bet that the products from CG's upcoming Capitol Collection will come in handy in this next installment of the epic tale. We can't wait to check out the products ourselves, and in the meantime, we'll be impatiently awaiting the return of our favorite movie heroine to the arenabig screen.
