Exclusive Track Premiere: Listen To "ICU" From Lou Doillon's Latest EP

As the daughter of famed actress Jane Birkin and French film director Jacques Doillon, half-sister to Charlotte Gainsbourg, and stepdaughter to Serge Gainsbourg, Lou Doillon has a lot of history to live up to. But she's well on her way. Her new album, Places, sees the actress/model/musician tackling Americana-inflected pop and making it her own.
"ICU" is the latest taste from her LP, a sweeping torch song with echoes of Cat Power's bare emotionality. "I see you go in every cab that goes by in the strangers at every crossroad," she laments, searching for echoes of a lost love. Produced by Zdar (Phoenix, The Rapture, Beastie Boys, Cat Power, and more), "ICU" is a perfect introduction to Doillon's dusky sound. Listen to our exclusive premiere below, and then pre-order Doillon's new album on iTunes or Amazon.
