Cue Avril: This Jonathan Simkhai Collection Is Inspired By Skater Boys

It's been a while since we blasted Avril Lavigne's best musical gem (no, we're not talking "Complicated") and cruised our way to the beach, but we have a feeling we may have a new partner in crime should the mood strike. Jonathan Simkhai, one of the brightest young fashion designers around, has been inspired by all things Venice Beach in his new exclusive collection with A Peace Treaty. Aptly named Locals Only, the collection of baubles is colorful and vibrant, much like the Venice boardwalk itself, and also takes design cues from the beach's own skater scene. Take it away, Lavigne.
A perfectly summertime-appropriate line, Locals Only is filled with neon threads, enamel, and precious little decks more appropriate for wearing than practicing Ollies. Plus, as a part of A Peace Treaty, the collection can also promise its products are made in fair-trade workshops and won't cause as much heartache as that girl in the song. Yes, the one who did ballet.
Jump ahead to preview the entire lookbook of lively pieces — priced between $80 and $250 — that will have you repping Venice and all its local skater stars.
