The Other 90s Revival: We're Still Obsessed With Helmut Lang's Dreamy Minimalism

Between the thigh-high socks at Chanel, and the army of grunge princesses at Saint Laurent, it's clear that fashion's 90s influence isn't going away anytime soon.
But, with all due respect to the Clueless era, there was a lot more to 90s fashion than kilt-y adorableness. If you grew up watching Style With Elsa Klensch like we did, then you'll surely remember Helmut Lang's dreamy, deconstructivist minimalism.
Although the Austrian designer is no longer with the label he founded, Helmut Lang is still going strong, and all the 90s hallmarks are there: sheer, asymmetrical draping, light-as-air chiffon mixed with rubberized leather, bias-cut dresses in fluid crepe.
It's sexy, severe-meets-serene, and we want to shroud ourselves in it right now — just like we did on those long-ago Sunday mornings with Elsa and a bowl of Cap'n Crunch.
