Cat Power, Tegan & Sara, & More Shows To Catch This Week

Cat Power, Angel Haze: Terminal 5, January 29, $29.50
In an unusual but inspired double bill, legendarily morose singer/songwriter Chan Marshall (a.k.a Cat Power) will be joined by up-and-coming rapper Angel Haze. While their musical styles may be different (to say the least), if there's a common thread between the folk singer and spitfire MC it's that both ladies are really good at what they do. Heck, maybe Cat Power can sing Angel Haze's next hook. UPDATE: Looks like she just did.
Tuesday, January 29, 7 p.m., Terminal 5, 610 West 56th Street (between 11th and 12th avenues); 212-582-6600.
School of Seven Bells, Prince Rama, Weeknight: Music Hall of Williamsburg, January 31, $15
Swirling psych and gauzy shoegaze are the sounds of the night this thursday in Williamsburg, with School of Seven Bells and Brooklyn's own Prince Rama. If you're on the fence, just put your headphones on and check out the video for "So Destroyed." We'll see you there.
Thursday, January 31 1, 8 p.m. Music Hall of Williamsburg, 66 North 6th Street (between Kent and Wythe avenues); Brooklyn; 718-486-5400.
Local Natives: Music Hall of Williamsburg/Bowery Ballroom, February 1, 2, and 3, $25
Harmony-laden indie rockers Local Natives will play three headlining shows this week at Music Hall of Williamsburg and Bowery Ballroom. While we usually shy away from listing sold-out concerts, with three consecutive nights, procuring tickets shouldn't be all that difficult. As always, StubHub is a good place to start.
Friday, February 1, 8 p.m. Music Hall of Williamsburg, 66 North 6th Street (between Kent and Wythe avenues); Brooklyn; 718-486-5400.
Saturday and Sunday, February 2 and 3, 8 p.m. Bowery Ballroom, 6 Delancey Street (between Bowery and Chrystie Street); 212-533-2111.
