Spring Temptation: Chanel Teases Us With Its New Makeup Collection

We're completely guilty: A few months into the cold weather, even when we're still enjoying the brisk chill in the air (most of the time), our restless selves start dreaming of spring. Yes, we know it's still months (months!) away, but the thought of sun showers, bright trench coats, and tiny flowers is already getting us giddy. Hey, we all have a favorite season, and spring might just be the one we wait all year for.
And of course, one of the best parts of spring? Spring makeup launches, of course! As much as we're digging our dark-stained lips everysingleday, the emergence of soft pinks and pastels on makeup counters is just as exciting as tiny green buds on the trees. Remember how psyched we were to sport our mint polish last year? In the same way that we shed our dark sweaters and coats in the warm weather, there's nothing like freshening up our beauty look to greet the new (warmer) season.
Well, Chanel must have sensed our (slightly premature) excitement, as they dreamed up a dusty pastel collection (fittingly titled Printemps Précieux, or "precious spring") that essentially screams Austen-heroine-in-April-showers. While we're more than pumped over the lilac Stylo Yeux Waterproof Eyeliner and apricot Joues Contraste blush, we're really getting spring fever from Poudre Signée De Chanel Illuminating Powder, a highlighter that blends peach and beige hues that warm the face just enough to trick everyone into thinking you're perfectly rested all the time. And just because Chanel is nice to us spring-o-philes (that's a word, right?), the collection is available starting in January. So, while we may not be able to jaunt around in our espadrilles just yet, you best believe that we can — and will — get our spring glow on, despite the frost.
