Solange, Sleigh Bells, & More Shows To Catch This Week

Solange, KELELA: Bowery Ballroom, December 11, $22
Four years after her last record, Beyoncé's younger sister has teamed up with producer Dev Hynes (Test Icicles, Blood Orange) and released one of our favorite little records of the year. The first single, "Losing You," has reached unlikely anthem status, and the rest of the EP is equally replayable. It should be a real pleasure to see her do it live.
Tuesday, December 11, 8 p.m., Bowery Ballroom, 6 Delancey Street (between Bowery and Chrystie); 212-533-2111.
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Black Marble, Habibi, Heaven's Gate: Brooklyn Night Bazaar, December 14, FREE
We've told you about the Brooklyn Night Bazaar before, but Friday's lineup is especially great. Headlined by indie-pop mainstays The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, and with support from Habibi, Black Marble, and Heaven's Gate, this event is all about gorgeous garage pop.
Friday, December 14, 6 p.m. to Midnight, 149 Kent Avenue (at North 5th Street); Brooklyn; no phone.
Sleigh Bells, Grizzly Bear, The Antlers, Cults: Terminal 5, December 14, $40
It's been truly heartening to see the countless bands playing Superstorm Sandy benefits this fall, from indie rockers, like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, to heavyweights, including Duran Duran, the Rolling Stones, and Alicia Keys. Of all the relief events, though, Friday's show at Terminal 5 might be the best we've seen. With four of Refinery29's favorite acts, it's an all-star lineup for a great cause. Do your part; see some music.
Friday, December 14, 7 p.m., Terminal 5, 610 West 56th Street (between 11th and 12th avenues); 212-582-6600.
