Emerson's New Collection Is Less Scary, More Scary Beautiful

Though inspired by horror flicks (the '70s classic The Amityville Horror and Rob Zombie's The House of 1000 Corpses, to name a few), we're not in the least bit spooked by the new crop of goodies Emerson has rolled out. Rather than being the token teen who runs to the creepy basement cellar — because, clearly, there's an escape route there — we find ourselves running toward the collection. With open arms, in fact.
In the lookbook, sheer, red dresses are clearly reminiscent of Sissy Spacek in a blood-splattered prom gown. Also amazing: The faded, rope print on plunging V-neck maxi-gowns that we wouldn't even mind being tied up in.
From softly patterned, flowy dresses to Tippi Hedren-structured peplum tops, Emerson has really stretched its imagination, turning epically haunting tales into a totally wearable collection. Click through and be prepared to scream...with delight.
