This Is Our Jam: Purity Ring, "Belispeak II" (Featuring Danny Brown)

With its misshapen vocals, trap snares, and soupy atmospherics, Canadian synth-duo Purity Ring already has a lot in common with the current hip-hop scene. This being the case, it seems like a no-brainer that Detroit rapper Danny Brown would drop by for a remix of Shrines highlight “Belispeak."
After firing off some double-time rhymes (“Raised in the gutter I ain’t really had nuthin’ / No silver spoon I was raised with [a] rusty shovel”), Brown slips into autotune for more warbling before handing things back to Megan James for the chorus. The whole thing works so well that it’s shock it didn’t happen sooner.
