There's no doubt that we're passionate about style, but for the record, there are a few more important things that have a permanent priority spot in our hearts: family, friends, and health. And while we might normally share a link from London blogger Susie Bubble any other day of the week, praising her unabashed ability to playfully mix up some of the most charming looks we've ever seen, today we simply want to support our friend in fashion.
Slipping into her Nike sneaks — preparing to sweat, not pose for a camera — Susie is gearing up to run her first half marathon for Breast Cancer Campaign. An admirable feat in itself, she's not just racing for the challenge, Susie is running to support her mother who's currently receiving treatment after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
Having fit all those training hours in between Fashion Week presentations (who knew that was possible?), our friend is planning to take off next week, on October 14, to run the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco.
We couldn't be more proud of this style star (and self-professed "queen of couch olympics") for taking on the challenge. But, in case you can't stand at the finish line, there are other ways to cheer her on. Check out the details on her fundraising page, here, and show your support for Susie, for family, for a friend, or simply, and most importantly, for the future of breast cancer research.
