Couple Collabs! Mara Hoffman’s Hubby Inspired Her Spring Lookbook

Your muse as your other half is one of the oldest concepts around, and one that we never tire of hearing about. Call us saps, but whenever we hear of a "she affected my creative process so much!" or a "All my art is for him" stories, we get a little weak in the knees. The latest case in point: NYC designer, Mara Hoffman, whose recent “Shaman Gaucho” collection pulls references from her husband, artist Javier Piñón — and boy is it lovely.
The campaign photos have that pieced-together, part-photo/part-illustration look, which adds a uniquely dreamy element that Hoffman's blog calls, “An homage to my sweet man and the other world we live in…”
Shot by Olivia Malone, the photos include black birds in flight surrounding sheer breezy dresses and a black stallion riding off into the sunset complete with a rider dressed in a matching hue and wide-brim hat. Also featured are combinations of bold prints and flowing silhouettes against desolate beach backdrops with gnarled trees. If this is the world in which Hoffman lives, we want to know if Piñón has siblings? Eh? Check out the photos ahead and tell us if you're suddenly suffering from a case of couple-lust.
