Emmy’s Pickles Rasta Pepper Jelly Workshop

With Emmy’s Pickles leading the lesson, we get to slice and dice red, yellow, and green peppers for a spread that’ll turn up the heat. All you have to do is bring your own knife and cutting board to get jammin’. But heed caution: Class is limited to just 10 pepper lovers, so quickly rsvp here:

Look What’s Happening!
Love the fashion on Pretty Little Liars as much as the drama? Then there’s no better way to prepare for the fall trends than with the show's stylist herself, Mandi Line, who will be stopping by Macy’s this Saturday. Joining her are local bloggers Britt+Whit, Stylepint, and Inspirafashion, showcasing the season’s must-have looks. And once you have the style tricks down, enter to win a Macy’s $300 gift card and a personal style consultation with Lane.
When: Saturday, October 6, 2 p.m.
Where: Macy’s, 170 O’Farrell Street, Level 4 (at Powell Street); 415-397-3333.
Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off
We’re starting to think that the Peanut’s Gang myth of The Great Pumpkin might not be all that farfetched. At the Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off, the biggest and baddest crops of the squash from the golden state all the way up to Washington will be rolling onto the scene for an epic battle of great proportions — literally! See who takes the heavyweight title back to the farm and cast your vote on who grew the most beautiful pumpkin, too.
When: Monday, October 8, 7 a.m.
Where: Ides Grounds, 735 Main Street (at Correas Street), Half Moon Bay; 650-725-9652.
Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has To Travel
Before Anna Wintour was calling the sartorial shots, it was Diana Vreeland who wore the crown as the leader of fashion media. So, naturally, we’re obsessed with her. Which is why we’re practically doing cartwheels that The Embarcadero is rolling the must-see film Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has To Travel. The documentary is dedicated to the iconic Harper's Bazaar and Vogue editor's life and legend, featuring candid commentary from the likes of Anna Sui, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Calvin Klein. Trust that we'll be front and center.
When: Get showtimes here!
Where: Embarcadero Center Cinema, 1 Embarcadero Center, Promenade Level (near Mission Street); 415-267-4893.
