Wearable, minimalist clothing with quirky touches that make each piece truly unique is the backbone concept to Thomas Sires' women's ready-to-wear line. The brand—backed by two expert friends in fashion, Loeffler Randall alums Fiona Thomas and Allison Sires— showcases artfully-crafted looks displaying the perfect degree of whimsy, like French terry cropped sweaters and printed silk Shibori dresses that definitely aren't sold at, say, Macy's. The line is now available at their new Nolita lifestyle store of the same name, which just opened officially on Saturday. Designed by architect Jeremy Barbour of Tacklebox Archiecture and furnished with materials like lucite, neon, and lacquer, the Elizabeth Street boutique resembles the progeny of a late night-threesome between high-end museum store at Palais de Tokyo, CB2, and Soho's Kisan. Thrown into the mix is a highly-curated mix of jewelry, home accessories, and fun doo-dads (globe emblazoned soccer balls anyone?) from an international hit-list of designers, making it the perfect place to pick up last-minute stocking stuffers. From the dressing rooms we wish were our apartments, to the Iacoli & Mcallister lighting fixtures, to an Eiffel Tower pillow we want, want, want, Elizabeth Street shopping just got a little more dangerous.
